My tutoring experience
My name is Jessica Odell. I am a private tutor with nearly twenty years’ successful experience of providing one-to-one tutoring and examination preparation for children from primary school age through to A level. I have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biology and Chemistry and a Masters degree (MSc) in Teaching (Maths and Science).
Where I am based
I am based in Northern Ireland and provide tutoring to students in Lisburn and the Greater Belfast area and provide tutoring sessions in my home. I will travel locally to provide tutoring, so please contact me for details.
My tutoring ethos
My tutoring method is to focus on understanding, so my approach to each session is based on the learner’s personal needs and not on replicating the demands of the curriculum or classroom work. I have found that the best results and the most useful, lasting knowledge – and confidence – derive from comprehension and understanding.

What I can offer your child
I offer:
• general primary school tutoring and School Transfer Test preparation;
• Secondary level tutoring in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and Maths, as well as general study skills; and
• examination prep for GCSE and AS/A level Science and Maths.
I am fully insured and hold current Access NI certification.
